About Breg Design
Breg Design Co. creates unique Slovenia-inspired graphic designs that combine iconic but unusual elements of this most interesting and unique country.
Playing with landscapes, landmarks, language, culture and cuisine, he creates original, thoughtful artwork that looks good on T-shirts, hoodies and other select items.
Who is Breg Design?
BREG Design was founded in 2020 by Sam Baldwin, a British author, writer and resident of Slovenia (and now Austria).
He created his first t-shirt design in 2006 whilst living in rural Japan (see his first book: For Fukui’s Sake: Two years in rural Japan).
Years later, after buying a tumbledown mountain hut in the Slovenian hinterlands with his brother, he moved to Slovenia, spending five years living and working in the country.
Unimpressed by the clichéd tourist tat, he decided to create his own line of Slovenian-flavoured t-shirts.
Sam Baldwin is also the author of the travel-memoir: Dormice & Moonshine: Falling for Slovenia.
The book has also been translated and published in Slovenian and Bulgarian.
